Coronavirus travel interruption has extensive effect on Metro Detroit

There haven’t been any affirmed cases of the coronavirus in Michigan, and airline authorities intend to keep it that way.

Various airlines have closed down direct flights between China and Detroit.

Metro Detroit is a significant hub for Asian travel since it’s a manufacturing hub and that implies the interruption in travel hits Metro Detroit in far-reaching ways.

The United States joined 32 different countries, including Canada, who have suspended flights to and from China – or seriously restricted them.

Delta, American and United airlines have every suspended flight. U.S. residents who are being evacuated from China just have 11 points of entry into the United States and Detroit is one of them.

Any travelers who’ve been to China over the last 14 days are being screened for potential quarantine.
