North Charleston, SC, January 2023: LaPorte now offers powder-coated pole options for boat shade kits. Most known for its bread and butter, the T-Top Boat cover, LaPorte Products, has also become known for its Boat Shade Kits in recent years. With ultimate UV protection and sleekness, this product has quickly become a hit amongst LaPorte customers. The marine accessory manufacturer announced they would launch black and white powder-coated telescoping poles in their Boat Shade Kits at the 2023 Miami International Boat Show.
The LaPorte Boat Shade is made from a proprietary material called resilience. This fabric has an outer UV reflective coating, which provides UV protection in harsh marine environments. The UV reflective coating offers an effective UV block of 98%, and it will reflect up to 75% of UV heat. In addition, the resilience material gives the shade a 20% stretch, allowing it to fit many-size boats while creating a custom-fit appearance. These shades come in both bow and aft. The Aft Shade can handle speeds up to 30 knots while staying whisper quiet. The company’s standard kit comes with anodized aluminum poles, but customers will soon be able to upgrade to powder-coated poles in either black or white to match their shade.
With the new telescoping poles, customers will be able to match their poles to the color of their bow or aft shade, allowing them to make a statement while out on the water.
The company is excited about this new offering and the eye-catching appearance that it will give. LaPorte is coming up on its peak season for their shade kits, as people are preparing to hit the water all over the country, and warm weather is on the horizon. The new poles will launch at the 2023 Miami International Boat Show (February 15th- 19th) and will soon be available on the company’s website.
